Iraqi coalition leaders discuss Prime Minister’s US visit, citizen welfare

SULAIMANI, Kurdistan Region – The State Administration Coalition, comprising Shiite, Sunni, and Kurdish parties overseeing Iraq’s governance, convened to discuss pressing matters, including Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani’s upcoming visit to the US and citizen welfare.

Attended by Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, and President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), the coalition addressed political stability, security, and economic prosperity. They emphasized improving citizens’ lives and seeking constitutional solutions, according to a statement by the KRI Presidency.

Prime Minister al-Sudani’s visit agenda and discussions with US officials were deliberated upon, with coalition leaders expressing confidence that the visit would benefit Iraq’s security and progress.

The meeting mirrors the collaborative efforts among Iraq’s political factions to steer the nation towards stability and prosperity, amidst anticipation for the outcomes of the Prime Minister’s diplomatic mission.
