The collected data will undergo validation on November 20 and 21. Initially, a “family form” will be filled for all inhabited and uninhabited residential units over a four-day period. During the curfew on November 20 and 21, the focus will exclusively be on ensuring families are counted, especially those who were unavailable earlier. Forms will close on November 22, and unregistered families will not be included in their local counts.
Each enumerator will receive a base salary of 250,000 dinars, plus 10,000 dinars for each working day. They are tasked with collecting data from 80 to 130 families and have undergone extensive training, including practical sessions using tablets.
The Deputy Minister of Planning for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) confirmed that preparations are complete, and a tablet training session is being conducted across the region. Enumerators are also familiarizing themselves with the neighborhoods where the process will begin.
The Iraqi government has allocated 496 billion dinars for the census, with the KRG receiving 12.6 billion dinars and an additional 13.4 billion dinars pending release. Enumerator wages are separately funded by the Iraqi Government.
