SULAIMANI, Kurdistan Region — Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani announced during a State Administration Coalition meeting last night that they had reached several clues in identifying those responsible for the attack on the Khor Mor gas field in Sulaimani’s Chamchamal district.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the state-run Coalition condemned the attack that resulted in the deaths of four Yemeni workers and the injury of several others two days prior.
Sudani has purportedly disclosed that they have uncovered leads, and the perpetrators will soon face justice.
The assault resulted in a notable decrease of 2,500 megawatts in electricity generation for the Kurdistan Region, as reported by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

Former Peshmerga Ministry Secretary-General Jabar Yawar revealed in an exclusive interview with Zoom News that the recent attack was likely orchestrated by a drone launched from regions adjacent to Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatu, suggesting the involvement of a local Iraqi group.
“Certainly, it appears that the drone did not infiltrate Kurdistan from external sources. Rather, it seems to have been deployed from regions close to Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatu. So, it is reasonable to infer that a domestic faction within Iraq orchestrated the attack,” said Yawar.
Following the attack, the authorities of the Kurdistan Region vehemently condemned the attack and urged the Iraqi federal government to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
